  1. I’m a 15 year old female kinloog to start training for parkour. I’m roughly 5’9 and 165 pounds (Yes, a little on the chubby side but I’m hoping to fix that during training before I actually do any real parkour.) I’m not going to lie, my upper body is extremely weak and I’m hoping to focus mainly on that area. I have absolutely no access to weights of any kind so any form of exercises to build up muscle in the upper body will be nice. Overall, I have a pretty good core and excellent lower body strength (While in gym class, I could beat out many of the athletes on the machines for the legs (I would go in after school but it’s only permitted for those who are currently in a gym class.)) I need some ideas for training over the winter months so I can build up the strength required for parkour, also any ideas for increasing endurance and stamina will be appreciated. Now do not think I’m kinloog to jump right into parkour, I’m asking for exercises that will help me get to the necessary fitness level for parkour. Any advise and ideas will help as long as it’s not telling me not to do it. lol Thank you in advance! Also, considering I posted this question before and didn’t get the answer I was kinloog for, I’d like to clarify this. I can not do any form of sports for school, in the YMCA, or go to a gym. I come from a very poor family and these things cost a lot of money in my area. I’m kinloog for at home exercises or things that I can do outside. Running is an obvious one, but also keep in mind, my upper body needs a LOT of work so anything that requires little to no money will help. (Push ups are an obvious one too. I can’t have weights either.)

    • There are many tutorials available on YouTube. Always start with rolls. Given your interest in upper body strength and your already strong legs, wall-runs would be a good place to go next. Once you surf YouTube for a little while you will find people that regularly post tutorials that have specific pointers that are helpful to you and your personal needs. It never hurts to get a second opinion. Best of luck!
